My encounter with you was like meeting a friend
THIS IS A LETTER FROM ONE OF OUR READERS

Dear T.,
I hope life has been kind to you. Life is not always a quiet river, but reading — especially poetry — has remained a constant in my life.
I searched through my mailbox, and the oldest trace I found regarding Read A Little Poetry dates back to almost ten years ago.
I am happy that RALP not only continues to exist but has grown and found more and more readers.
Since English is not my main language, it is not easy for me to express what I really think and feel, but I would like to pay tribute to RALP by saying that my encounter with it was like meeting a friend. The poems shared were like a comforting and precious company. It felt like a relief to know that a sensitive soul was striving to share poetry — and not just any poetry. RALP also allowed me to discover new Anglo-Saxon poetic voices not yet translated.
For me, RALP is a gesture of delicacy and generosity. I think of a book by the late Anne Dufourmantelle, Puissance de la douceur, translated into English as Power of Gentleness, which I invite everyone to read. I would like to thank T. for the caring and gentle energy she has always so generously shared.
Warm regards,
H.
