I Put On My Socks in the Wrong Order and Now I'm Gonna Get Hit By A Car

I think as I put on my boots anyway. I’m supposed to
resist compulsions when I feel capable

because it makes the misfiring neurons weaker, and today

I’m feeling capable of lots of stuff, so I guess that means
today I’m fighting my brain. When the brain says,
“You’re gonna bleed out on the sidewalk,”

I’ll say, “Then the grass will have something

to drink.” When the brain says, “This is the day

you go to the bridge,” I’ll say, “But there are

so many bridges.” Nothing gets to want me
dead and avoid the consequences. You’ll get
the socks you get, brain, we’re going to the airport.

    I can relate to this soo much not sure if we’re both into optimism. But I see this in a way of leaving the same pattern of self hate and seeing the happiness in life, even tho the brain doesn’t want to.
