N. sent me a photo of Ezra Pound by Richard Avedon. It was exquisite. The poet and the photographer, both. Was looking for more photos of Pound (he's quite a handsome fellow, no?) when I chanced upon an old article
Above the Dock
Above the quiet dock in midnight,
Tangled in the tall mast's corded height,
Hangs the moon. What seemed so far away
Is but a child's balloon, forgotten after play.
